    UPPER CAPE ALTERNATIVE GIFT MARKET

     SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 12     10-3

    SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13       11 – 3

    ST. BARNABAS EPISCOPAL CHURCH

    MAIN STREET,  FALMOUTH

     GIVE THE GIFT OF TZEDAKAH

What is an Alternative Gift Market?

An alternative gift market is a community fair where you can purchase non-traditional gifts to give to family and friends.  Rather than buy one more necktie for Uncle Fred, honor him instead by giving in his name, a life-sustaining gift that will help alleviate poverty and disease, renew our planet’s environment, or promote education, sustainable development and peace.

You might choose to buy food for the shelves of the local food pantry or purchase a bike for a health care worker in Kenya or provide books in Arabic and Hebrew for a bilingual school in Israel.

    Hand in Hand

One of our personal favorite organizations that will be a part of our gift market is Hand in Hand. Hand in Hand’s award-winning network of bilingual and multicultural accredited public schools for Arab and Jewish citizens of Israel focus on academic excellence and offer pioneering curriculum, which fosters mutual understanding as well as pride in one’s heritage.  The far-reaching impact extends to educators, entire communities and government leadership – across Israel and around the world – making a difference today and fostering a more peaceful, democratic and secure future for Israel.

Sponsored by the Social Action Committees of The Falmouth Jewish Congregation, Church of the Messiah, First Congregational Church of Falmouth,  St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Falmouth
