    FJC celebrates Purim on Wednesday evening, February 28 with a holiday dinner, followed by music, costume parade, Latke-Hamentaschen debate, and more — all fun and welcoming to all. Please call or write to RSVP for the dinner so that we can plan accordingly. Dinner includes delicious soups, bread, salad, and Hamentaschen for dessert. Vegan & vegetarian options.     On Thursday, March 1, join Director of Lifelong Learning, Pamela Rothstein, for a study session on Purim: A Feminist Perspective.  For members only / RSVP by February 24

    How can Purim’s female characters – Vashti and Esther – guide us today? What have men and women made of their behavior? Where does Harriet Beecher Stowe come into this picture?!

    Join Pamela Rothstein, Director of Lifelong Learning, for a discussion of Purim from a feminist perspective. e ways in which the images of Vashti and Esther can guide us today. Men and women are welcome, of course. Bring a brown bag lunch. We’ll start with lunch and move on to reading of articles and discussion starting at 12:30 P.M. Coffee, tea, and dessert are provided.
