PJ Library
A Free Jewish Book Program for Families (and Grandparents) with Children Age 6 Months – 8 Years
In Jewish life, as in the secular world, reading and listening to music are ways to expand our horizons and deepen our experience. As our families know, the Jewish Federation of Cape Cod (with the support of The Harold Grinspoon Foundation and Wendy’s of Cape Cod) is making available to Cape Cod families with young children (age 6 months – 8 years) the well-established and acclaimed PJ Library (PJ as in pajamas), which provides a free treasury of Jewish books and CDs. The program is also available to grandparents who live on Cape Cod and wish to share these books with their visiting grandchildren. This is an excellent opportunity for Cape families to bring a wonderful selection of Jewish materials directly into their homes. Each child enrolled in The PJ Library receives a monthly gift of a high-quality, age-appropriate Jewish book or CD as well as a reading guide to enhance your family’s experience. To learn more about the PJ Library, visit the website at www.pjlibrary.org.
If you are interested in registering, please contact Terry Smily, President of the Jewish Federation of Cape Cod at tsmily@comcast.net. To find out more about the PJ Library, visit www.pjlibrary. org. The Federation also appreciates your help in sharing news of this program with Jewish families throughout the area who have children through age 8.
It is also possible to purchase a gift subscription for children who live outside of this community. Visit the PJ library website at www.pjlibrary.org/gift.php or call The PJ Library at (413) 439-1981 for further details.
