Upper Cape Interfaith Alliance Hosts a Pre-Thanksgiving Exploration of Gratitude

Thursday, November 21, 7:00 - 8:30pm at Falmouth Jewish Congregation

RSVP to uppercapeinterfaith@gmail.com

On Thursday, November 19 from 7-8:30 P.M., the newly formed Upper Cape Interfaith Alliance invites the community to an evening program exploring gratitude from Jewish and Christian perspectives. People from all religions or no religious affiliation are welcome at this single-session gathering, which will include brief presentations, text study, song, video and discussion. Timed to fall close to Thanksgiving, the program will help us understand what the two faith traditions, as well as secular culture, have in common and what distinguishes their approaches and texts about gratitude.

The Upper Cape Interfaith Alliance formed this spring with the goal of deepening the connections within our communities that foster interfaith learning, social justice efforts, conversation and visits to each other’s faith communities for holidays and events.

This free program will take place at Falmouth Jewish Congregation’s Blanche & Joel D. Seifer Community Center, 7 Hathcville Road, East Falmouth. Please RSVP to uppercapeinterfaith@gmail.com to help us plan. The alliance is also starting an email notification list to alert the public about upcoming events, including a three-part study of the Sabbath on Thursday evenings on January 9, 16 and 23. To register for the email list or for the January study sessions, please write to the above address.
