From February through April all donations made to the beautiful, wooden Tzedakah box in the FJC entry hallway will go to the International Rescue Committee, known as IRC. Responding to the world's worst humanitarian crises, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war, persecution, or natural disaster, helping people to survive and rebuild their lives. IRC teams provide health care, infrastructure, learning and economic support to people in more than 40 countries, with special programs designed for women and children. The organization resettle thousands of refugees each year in 26 U.S. cities.

Check on this site and the FJC calendar for a special talk on the IRC by Mike and JoAnn Fishbein on Friday, March 11 at FJC.

Visit www.rescue.org to learn more about the IRC's history and activities. If you are not on the Cape and would like to make a contribution to the collection for the IRC, you may mail a check (mem0: IRC, Tzedakah Box) to the FJC office at 7 Hatchville Road, East Falmouth, MA 02536.
