Building upon the success and popularity of “Boomer Shabbat”, we are pleased to announce our second “Great American Songbook Shabbat.
Our member Ted Jellinek, an accomplished jazz pianist, will lead a quartet with bass, drums and vocalist, drawing upon gems from the Great American Songbook that will be thematically-linked to the Friday evening Shabbat prayers. Ted will be joined by vocalist Liz Saunders, percussionist Tony Scalici, and bassist Michael Ryle. Songs include "What a Wonderful World," I Can't Give You Anything but Love," Come Fly with Me," "Our Love is Here to Stay," and many more of your favorites.
It promises to be a delightful and meaningful experience, so save the date and tell your friends! An Oneg Shabbat (reception) follows in the Blanche & Joel D. Seifer Community Center. Please park at the large Community Center parking lot and follow the path to the East End Meeting House for the service. There is very limited accessible parking available at the Meeting House itself, with more at the Community Center.
