Rabbi Todd Zinn (he/him)
Rabbi Zinn is thrilled to serve as the Rabbi of Falmouth Jewish Congregation!
Born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Rabbi Zinn has been immersed in diverse Jewish communities from a young age. These experiences gave him a passion for building Jewish communities, meaningful Jewish learning, and working towards repairing our world.
Rabbi Zinn loves connecting with the individuals and bringing them into the community and teaching students of all ages. He cares deeply about bridging the Jewish community into the larger local community through interfaith connections and making the world a better place through acts of social action and social justice.
He graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland with a Bachelors of Arts in History and earned his rabbinic ordination at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) in Los Angeles. Where he also earned a Master of Arts in Jewish Education and a Master of Arts in Hebrew Letters
During his time at Rabbinical school, Rabbi Zinn worked with several congregations across Southern California, engaged with college students at the University of Southern California, and provided spiritual counseling at Beit T’Shuvah, an inpatient addiction recovery community.
Ordained in 2017, Rabbi Zinn served as Rabbi at Chicago Sinai Congregation, a vibrant, historic congregation in downtown Chicago. There, he focused on engaging young people, creating meaningful adult learning opportunities, building interfaith communities, and expanding the congregation’s social action and justice impact. He later joined Honeymoon Israel, an organization dedicated to engaging young Jewish couples at the periphery of Jewish life. As the Director of Jewish Journeys and Enrichment, he worked to integrate deep, resonant Jewish education into all aspects of the organization’s work.
Rabbi Zinn is committed to ongoing learning and has been a fellow in the 18Doors Rukin Rabbinic Fellowship, focused on engaging interfaith couples, and the Religious Action Center’s Brickner Rabbinic Fellowship, dedicated to the intersection of Judaism and social justice.
Rabbi Zinn is a passionate Boston sports fan, an avid cyclist and hiker, and an adventurous traveler.
